Concert Summary

Following his 1975 departure from Genesis and after a period of rest and creative rejuvenation, Peter Gabriel returned with his compelling first solo album in 1977. In the two-year interim, Gabriel had matured as both an artist and a songwriter. His new music was scaled down considerably and gone were the rhetorical and prog-rock musical flourishes that characterized Genesis. Over the course of the next decade, Gabriel would become increasingly adventurous and introspective, creating music on his own terms. He began working with some of the most talented and esoteric musicians of the era,…entire summary

see peter gabriel on the so tour, back in 1987 at the earls court arena, he played there for about 4 or 6 nights i think it was, it was a great show, me & my friends were very lucky the night we went, the lovely (kate bush) came onto the stage for the oncore and ofcause they did (don,t give up) please lets have more of gabriel, maybe something from the 83/84 tour, inwhich he played stuff from the 4th album, stuff like (rhythmn of the heat, lay your hands on me,) i think that on the 83/84 tour, gabriel did do a surpport slot for (david bowie) on his serious moonlight tour at some point, what a great double act that would have been to see, lucky america always seem to get the best double acts, many thanks pete007: u.k.

Thank you very very much for this one. I was that night at River Plate Stadium (being 16 years old) and it was an incredible and unforgettable night for me. More than 20 years have passed and now I can enjoy this great recording. It was the last night of "Human Rights Now!" World Tour and it was my first big stadium concert, and it?s amazing to hear the performances again. Regards

Great to hear a complete recording of the Conspiracy tour. The mix is a bit rough at times though. At 5.51 during In your eyes somebody says 'shit' in an open microphone for some reason. If you notice that the microphone is open; don't talk into it, I'd say. Hopefully the recordings of the separate tracks still exist and a new mix will be available someday. Too bad Peter Gabriel didn't play Lay your hands on me on this night (he did during this tour: a collage of different versions is in the video of the Conspiracy tour), it's on of my favourite Peter Gabriel songs.
