  • yucchhiiowwee Thursday, May 03, 2012 7:39 am In 2006, I was a stagehand in Virginia Beach, Va and I was privalidged to work Peter Frampton during his "Fingerprints" tour. As I had the opportunity to talk to Peter's Guitar tech, SHE told me that Bob Mayo had died two years prior. This I did not know untill I was told. This had saddened me and I was also told by the same person that before Steve Marriott died that he and Peter were discuusing a reunion of Humble pie....OHHHhhh what a show THAT would have been!!
  • Anonymous Wednesday, May 02, 2012 12:41 pm No autotune, no MIDI, no samples or sequences, just music. Siomos and Sheldon deliver the big bottom, a great rock rhythm section. I could do without "I'm In You" but the rest is solid stuff on a lovely California day.
  • holdemxpert Wednesday, May 02, 2012 6:57 am Ive seen every incarnation of PF after Humble Pie (my "Moby Dick" band) and he comes across as one of the most genuine and nice guys in the business in addition to his great guitar playing. Its a shame we lost him for those post "Sgt Pepper" years. He's better now than ever. Keep up the reunions of the Family of Friends, PF, just turn down SS' bass when Im sitting right in front of his speakers!
  • Anonymous Wednesday, May 02, 2012 5:48 am Do you FEEL was THE RocknRoll anthem for Coke fans!!
  • Anonymous Wednesday, May 02, 2012 5:46 am Do you feel is one of the greatest songs of the decade!! My original vinyl Frampton Comes Alive is still one of my favorites. Of course by '77 he was waning a bit because he was not able to keep the hits coming. (I'm in You just wasn't what his hard core fans wanted to hear (too top 40ish).
  • jinks Wednesday, May 02, 2012 5:34 am The days when the still massively talented Peter Frampton had the musical world eating fromm the palm of his hand! Saw him with my son(!) at Cambridge Corn Exchange recently and he was fantastic. 35th Anniversary Tour of 'Comes Alive' and that was just the fisrt set. Immense talent and still as charismatic.
  • tatittle Wednesday, February 29, 2012 8:52 am "Cha-Ching". John Siomos' regular refrain, spoken with a hint of disdain--likely all his kind heart could muster. Likely borne of the distaste left by the dishonesty of money people in the music business, especially in the arena rock period. RIP John. The music and the love lives on; and the gates of Hell shall never prevail over the spirit of truth!
  • tatittle Wednesday, February 29, 2012 7:09 am Oh no, did John the drummer die? I recouped with him a few years back after he broke his wrist. Great stories, wonderful man..and great taste in music obviously: New Orleans zydeco, Nevilles, Feat etc. He even complimented my amatuer guitar performance bless his heart!
  • Zen_Zappa Friday, February 17, 2012 8:30 am sorry, peter, too much fcking around, you lost me
  • Anonymous Thursday, February 16, 2012 7:43 am I was there! Great times were had at 'Days on The Green' concerts at the Oakland Coliseum. Thanks for the flashback....
  • Anonymous Sunday, July 03, 2011 8:53 pm The late great John Siomos on drums! Love those deep dark green Ludwigs! Nobody grooved Frampton's songs as hard before or since.
  • Kim Kraus Tuesday, June 28, 2011 10:19 am Exxxxxxxcelent video quality. Looks like the perfect day too. Ahhhhh
  • ode'lady Thursday, June 16, 2011 6:18 am Thank you, Wolfgang's Vault!
  • niko1 Thursday, June 16, 2011 6:14 am Ahh, back when music was music. Nice afternoon buzz and great rock and roll. Good to see American flags and Mt. Rushmore on the set-back when it was cool to be proud to be an American.
  • oliverr24 Monday, June 13, 2011 5:08 pm Actually the bill was the following on this day on the Green. 1. The Outlaws 2. Santana 3. Lynyrd Skynrd 4. Peter Frampton. I was there 13 yrs old. LS blew everyone out of the water. In fact folks were walking out half way through Frampton from being sun baked, weed baked, and a hard come down after the LS set. Good times...
  • Anonymous Tuesday, June 07, 2011 6:21 am How cool is this? I was there at that show...Frampton at the top of his game. Also on the bill: Gary Wright, Dave Mason, Fleetwood Mac, Robin Trower. Fun times decades ago...
  • Anonymous Monday, June 06, 2011 4:15 pm He headlined this show in place of LS? That is sad!
  • Anonymous Monday, June 06, 2011 4:13 pm Worst song of all time!
  • wise2u Monday, June 06, 2011 10:41 am never knew PF played the drums!!...awesome video from his stadium days!!! Saw him last year with Steve Miller, they played 3 songs together and jammed a bit...He still rocks, though a bit more mellow these days. His last album "thank you Mr. Churchill" has a few good songs, but not as many as his instrumental album before it "Fingerprints" (has vox-box version of "Black hole sun", and other unique guitar songs) Thanks for the video Wolfgang's Vault, wonderful history!!!
  • Anonymous Monday, June 06, 2011 5:15 am Same summer saw Mr. Frampton and band fill the 100,000+ JFK stadium in Philly. What a summer for concerts!
  • Anonymous Monday, June 06, 2011 5:04 am Great video.Saw Peter over here in Germany in march.Better than ever(except the hair!!!)I also saw him on the 1977 tour in London.

  • ossobucco Monday, May 02, 2011 6:16 pm Saw The same show 2 months later in Orlando .
  • Anonymous Wednesday, April 27, 2011 11:30 pm Music the way it should be. Sun shining, breeze blowing, enthusiastic crowd, and a band obviously having fun. Oh, and the legend himself Bill Graham in the background running the show as only he could.
  • lindakay39 Wednesday, April 27, 2011 3:26 pm Love it.
  • Spirit Sparks Wednesday, April 27, 2011 11:59 am To really appreciate this in all it's glory, one must think about the fact that concert videos are taken for granted these days. Everybody and their dog has a device to record video and audio at concerts today. This was definitely not the case way back in 1977 so it just makes these videos so much more precious. Again, thanx!!
  • Spirit Sparks Wednesday, April 27, 2011 11:54 am AMAZING!!
