Concert Summary

In between the demise of the popular 1970s version of Little Feat and its posthumous Lowell George reformation in 1989, singer/guitarist Paul Barrere took a stab at a solo career. He released two albums on an Atlantic Records imprint, the first of which was given the tongue-in-cheek title On My Own Two Feet.

Barrere launched a solo tour in 1983 to coincide with the release of that LP, and played this show at the Chance in Poughkeepsie, NY, which aired on the King Biscuit Flower Hour. Barrere, who had come from one of the most proficient musical acts of that period, had a tall…entire summary

Saw feet a bunch of times during the regroup in 1988. Unreal performances. Paul is great, Richie too and the rest.

Nice find. I seen this band when they toured. It was very cool seeing members of Little Feat, and the Dregs together. They hit it hard.

Anything related to the Feats is fantastic. Amazing that they still play such small venues today. I'm not crazy about the chick lead singer though.

i also object to using the little feat name post george. after all "little feat" referred to his size 8 feet. having said that i've sat front row in a small club when it was just paul and fred playing. talking to paul about his golf game. i've traveled overnight 300 miles to see them as recently as 2 years ago. i have seen them 3 times closer since then. travlen'...don't ya know!

I saw Chicken Legs perform at the Stone Balloon in Newark, DE during the Little Feat hiatus. This Paul Barrere concert is indeed a treat !

This is a nice find. I saw Paul post-Little Feat with a band called Chicken Legs back around this time. It featured Paul, Catfish Hodge, Richie Hayward, Kenny Gradney and Sam Clayton. When Little Feat reformed, I objected to them using the name in Lowell's absence. I still do to this day. Hearing this music under Paul's billing eliminates those feelings.
