Pat Benatar was skyrocketing to fame in America and abroad when this show was captured for the King Biscuit Flower Hour in the summer of 1980, at San Francisco's legendary Old Waldorf Theater. Benatar had risen to the top of the charts quickly, thanks to a total embrace from the top FM programmers around the country.

"Heart of the Night", track 9, is titled wrong. It is, "In the Heat of the Night". Great concert! How about Neil Giraldo's guitar sound! He influenced Cathy Henderson, of Antigone Rising. Great band.

I was at this show. I sat up front and ate dinner right in front of the stage prior to the show. And even met Bill G. and asked him when the Stones were coming to town next.

    Great memories.

Great Concert and Darn Good Recording! I saw this Babe and Band twice in the early 80s! Hot and Hot! She had the tightest little bootie in Rock and Roll!

This Pat B. concert has great mix and sound, with performances of her earlier songs..I followed her shows in the 80's here in New Jersey and NYC..She was always a 'Hot Rock Vixen' with Tons ! of vocal and stage talent..Neil's guitar-work and productionalways top-notch as-well..
Like to see them do a reunion with this line-up..Michael of A Paramus..
PS. Myron G The 'Drumming Elf' was great to watch dancing around his-kit...

This early concert sounds better than all other live stuff Pat has. The impact of a second guitar (Scott "St. Clair" Sheets does a fantastic job) is clear while Pat's voice is fresh and not worn out like her 1984 "Live from Earth" LP.
