Concert Summary

Ozzy Osbourne had only been out of Black Sabbath a couple of years when he formed this now legendary solo band and embarked on his controversial Blizzard of Oz tour (rumored to be a reference to his ongoing cocaine use). Now supporting a wife, Sharon (the daughter of Sabbath manager Don Arden), Ozzy was essentially broke, and had to start from the ground up when launching his newfound solo career.

Unlike most lead singers who go solo in order to…entire summary

God it's so good to hear Old Ozzy concerts. Iv'e been listening to "Tribute" like forever, and it felt so great listening to a preformance with proper audio that does the band right. Man Randy changed his version of each and every song from each and every concert he held. This audio is gonna be so incredibely usefull for my further study of the guitar.

i have this concert on an old normal bias cassette tape. recorded it off the air from WPDH NY way back then. this is the first time i've heard this show with good balance of tone and in STEREO... EVER!!!!! yes, a proper CD release would probably make Ozzy another mint! rumor has it this concert was videoed as well and that Randy was running a fever.

Ozzy is now and allways has been my dark god. I unfortunately never saw Randy live. But have studied his music. Almost like an alchemist searching for the midus formula. I guess I'm a little slow though, because just recently had the aha! moment. The internet! yohoo! There still isn't much in the way of video. So if anyone has any footage of Randy, please please post it here or on you tube. Of course all of Ozzy hired axemen have been world class and inovative in their own right. But long live Randy Rhoades, and of course OzzY

Every week I check here to see if the "download" button has been added to this incredible show! I can't wait for that day to come! So many bootlegs of this show get sold on eBay. The quality of a download here would blow away any of those boots and artist royalties would actually be paid.

Hello, I saw Ozzy in 82 around March or April a couple of weeks after Randy Rhoads died. It was the worse conert I ever saw as a 16 year old little lady being dropped off by there Mother to see Ozzy at the Cow Palace in San Franciso. Ozzy was so wasted he did not even know the words or correct versus for his own songs. I was a crushed 16 year old. Not only becuase Randy had just died but because I had never seen a concert where the Person who wrote the songs had no clue what the words were. I was upset for years... Ok, Now may years later I went to Ozzfest. I think it had to be 2002 or 2003 it was the one with Marilyn Manson and Korn right before Ozzy. Ozzy made it all up at that concert... I had no clue who Zack Wylde was becuase I had lost interest in Ozzy after Bark at the moon with Kick ass Guitarist Jake E Lee. They played old Ozzy and even Black Sabbath and it was the best show I had seen in years. I am no longer bitter with Ozzy for his actions right after Randy passed away. It took me many years to get over that. These live concerts is what I was expecting in 1982 before Randy passed away. I love ozzy and will always love him....
