WOLFGANG'S VAULT ACQUIRES ENTIRE COLLECTION OF SIXTIES PHOTOGRAPHY GIANT, GENE ANTHONY

Summer of Love photography collection now available exclusively at the Vault

SAN FRANCISCO, CA (April 9, 2004)--Wolfgang's Vault, the world's premier online site for live concert music and memorabilia, announces its purchase of the archive of "Summer of Love" photographer, Gene Anthony. Included in the acquisition are all photographs, slides, posters, digital images, books and other tangible assets in Anthony's personal collection and those sold on his website, sixtiesphotos.com, plus all associated intellectual property and copyrights. Wolfgang's Vault is now the exclusive source for the Gene Anthony photography archive.

The Vault plans to make Anthony's photography available as Vintage Prints and Fine Art Prints with prices estimated to range from $150 to $700. Fine Art prints are the highest-quality prints in the Vault and will initially be available in two sizes, 11" x 14" and 16" x 20". Vintage Prints, many which were printed within one year of the original negative, date from 1990 or earlier, and size is dependent on the original print.

Gene Anthony is credited with capturing some of the most seminal moments of the 1960s. Turning his prolific lens to and around Haight-Ashbury, he shot the San Francisco Mime Troupe, Ken Kesey and the Merry Pranksters, the Human Be-In, the Trips Festival, the young Grateful Dead, the Hell's Angels and Timothy Leary. His definitive images have appeared in numerous publications. In 2004, Gene Anthony published Magic of the Sixties, which documents that extraordinary time in American history and culture.
