Born a middle class Brian Warner, Marilyn Manson is one of the 1990s most controversial performers. His vampy-meets-glam-meets-cynic style has grabbed endless attention from goths and church-goers alike. The self-proclaimed Antichrist Superstar drums up controversy simply by stepping into a room, although shredding the Book of Mormon onstage doesn't hurt either. Like any great icon, dead or alive, an urban legend or two swirls around his persona. A Manson fave: he played Paul on the Wonder Years in his younger days. Hmmmm.
