Concert Summary

Many of the musicians orbiting Miles Davis during his early explorations into electric instrumentation inevitably were inspired to form bands of their own. McLaughlin is an amazing player, with an extraordinary range of expression. Whether playing electric or acoustic, the guy must be one of the greatest guitar players in modern times. I wish I could turn the clock back and see this band again but at least we have these wonderful recordings. Discovering the Vault has brought great pleasure, thank's again!

Oh My God! Billy Cobham was even better then the studio recording attest. Can this get any better??? These guys toured opposite Zappa. After the tour Frank bought 2 giant drum sets for Chester and Ralph and the days of the 4 or 5 piece kit were gone forever.

Thankfully the music is beyond hyperbolic while the commentary isn't; less coffee next time? LOL.
