Concert Summary

The initial classic lineup of the Mahavishnu Orchestra lasted less than three years and only released two studio albums and one live recording during this era, but these recordings had a profound effect, redefining the jazz/rock fusion movement. OK you guys, dopeburger, do you have any more shows from Mahavishnu in the vault? I have only 3 more shows from your supply to download, including this one, and all are totally awesome! NEED MORE!!!!!!

3 days before I was born, my favorite band played this show - 1973 was the year they blew up music, created fusion, FUSION, which no other band ever came close to re-creating. Don't give me "Bitches Brew", don't tell me "Blow by Blow" - Mahavishnu put out 3 albums, DONE, that was it. Fusion was born and died with Mahavishnu. RTF, Coryell, blah, blah ... I don't want to piss off Lenny White, one of my favorite drummers, but Mahavishnu set the bar and none passed.

I think is one of the strongest partial shows of the early part of the tour and I cannot understand why this partial concert is not available for download, since other partial shows are available from the tour. Please make this show available! Thanks!

Yes, but "Inner Mountain" is a beautiful mahavishnu-esque title, even if less burning. This I meant for "shift": involuntary variation from the original.

It's Inner Mounting Flame, not Inner Mountain Flame for the album title. The opening track is called Meeting of the Spirits.

muy bueno, toda una catedra del enfoque musical del se?or Mclaughlin, que a mi parecer solo es superado por PACO DE LUCIA.Para cuando conciertos de flamenco?????

Yes, Woflgang knew what he was doing taping these guys. Mclaughlin at this time raised the bar to what the guitar could do. He was number 1 at this time and no one was even close. This time was something else.
