Was at this show and it was even better that it sounds here. Saw them at this venue 3 times and this was the best of them. They latter recorded with the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra.

This version of Dance of Maya makes one glad for Wolfgang's Vaults existence not to mention the folks at King Biscuit. Well-played, well-recorded & well-received by this listener.

It was A fellow student at Liverpool Poly by the name of Daryl who put me on to Mahuvishnu in 1973. My immediate reaction was they would make good typists (SO chuffing fast!!LoL) but I perceviered and now they would be my 'desert Island disk if only allowed one album or GiG. Went to see them at Nebworth Park, around '74 ish. Best wishes to any of you out thers of like mind RobC

Banartist--I saw MO open for FZ and the Mothers with Ponty (it was the Overnite Sensation band) around the same time---maybe the summer of that year---at the Spectrum in Philly. During FZ's set, McLaughlin, Hammer and Cobham were off to the side of the stage behind the cross-stage monitors listening (and, it looked like, dancing !) to several tunes, one of which was "Rdnzl".

I was at this show, as well. Gentle Giant were a stunning opener for MO, and played a great set. (I recall the flowers across the front of the stage, and John McLaughlin played like a man possessed---or under divine influence. Hell, they all did. (The Felt Forum was a good venue in those days, hosting bands like Genesis, Procol Harum, FZ & the Grand Wazoo...and these guys, of course.)

Harvey & Corky were the Century's booking agents for most of those great performers back then. Harvey Weinstein went on to become Miramax, with his brother, and one of the greatest movie moguls ever. Corky is still in the B-Lo.

Seen many a great concert at the Century, sorry I missed this one. Anyone remember J.M., Frank Zappa and Jean Luc Ponty on the same bill In Rochesters War Memorial around the same time?

I have seen McLauglin solo in the early 90's, but I wish I had seen Mahavishnu Orchestra. I remember the day I picked up the LP packet at the post office (ordered from Tandy's in England), put on Inner Mounting Flame and heard music I had never heard before. That album still gives me a chill. Amazing band!

I consider myself very fortunate to've seen the original M.O. line-up 3 times
