Concert Summary

After years of life on the road and with their role models, the Allman Brothers Band, struggling to survive the deaths of two of its most distinctively talented members, today Lynyrd Skynyrd has become the quintessential Southern Rock band. Under the leadership of frontman and primary songwriter Ronnie Van Zant, the group's melodic lyric driven ballads and power driven hard rockers would catapult the group into one of the most popular touring bands in the world. The group's distinctive guitar attack, combined with an overtly defiant and rebellious attitude, gave them a cultural identity…entire summary

Nothin but classic,I saw them at Anaheim stadium before the plane went down.Sad day as they were just beginning to tap their power.Dropped some acid that haloween and jammed all night to them.

Beautiful show raw live and kick ass, mistakes evn sound amazing. I will never forget wanting to see them for the 1977 tourwhen they came to Seattle, the dissapointment we all felt when the plane went down. That day you could buy a 4 finger bag a week for 10$. BrianParsley and I sat in his room and smoked a whole bag for the freebirds. One could only hope to leave such a legacy

I was 13 when I went to my first show in Winterland in 1974. I don't recall alot of the shows there (Good drugs in them days. On that note thanks to all the people of the Haight Ashbury Medical Clinic, they sure helped alot of people.) One of the shows that did standout was Lynyrd Skynyrd. Awesome show. But not the best. Blue Oyster Cult and the laser show. Now that was fuckin' awesome.
