Concert Summary

After the remarkable commercial success of Lou Reed's 1972 Transformer album, which contained his biggest hit, "Walk On The Wild Side," he then recorded the dark and depressing Berlin album, which although now acknowledged as a classic, was initially met with extremely unfavorable reactions. Nonetheless, Reed fully embraced the moment, deteriorating into alcohol and drug addiction and with David Bowie's Ziggy Stardust as a rough template, recreated himself as the…entire summary

    this is superbly the best lou reed rock animal band ive ever never heard. best consert in the universe ever. pentti on drums is really incredible here. i used to listen to lou reed live and rock and roll animal alot. this is even better

    Unbelievable! First time to the vault...great sound...saw Lou in '77 in SF...good but not this good!

    Superb. Five star. The mix is gentle and clear. Reed, the twin guitars, and the rest are top shelf.
