Concert Summary

Taken from a doubleheader of two performances by jazz guitarist Larry Coryell, this early set opens with an acoustic version of "Spain," the legendary jazz track written and first recorded by pianist Chick Corea, his musical contemporary and good friend. Coryell's passionate performance sets the tone for this show, recorded on December 28, 1977.

Coryell is a brilliant jazz virtuoso, who has always been more concerned with "feel" rather than with…entire summary

Coryell is a master and these sets show it. He can take you right to the edge, it can feel like the wheels are going to come off the wagon, but he always pulls it back! I never tire of listening to his playing and feeling the incredible energy he brings to the music.

Minzafar must be kidding right...? or nuts...Larry has the best tone & titles not to mention everything else I could rave about forever like his playing/songs/music/ability/versatility/soul/melody/harmony/ various TONE's/style & substance.etc.As far as titles go...A rose by any other name would smell as sweet... Peace,

Seconding monk. This is how I remember Larry playing Witchi-Ti-To--his old friend Jim Pepper's tune. Heart felt, beautiful and totally kicking ass. Larry was and is a monster musician.

Thank you for the complete Witchy Tai To ala Jimi. Fantastic. More electric Larry please.

One of the ugliest sound in acoustic guitar history! The apotheosis is the phase shifted version of the pseudo-mahavishnuesque The Funky Waltz (one of the ugliest titles in titles' history, in competition with Stiff Neck).
