Concert Summary

You wanted the best? You got the best!! Only, this time, they're not gonna be wearing any cool make-up. And remember Ace Frehley, their awesome guitar player? Yeah, he's been replaced by the soulless, mechanical wankery of Vinnie Vincent. Plus, Paul Stanley's stage banter is only slightly less embarrassing than wetting your pants on the first day of school - other than all that, THE BEST!!

After the inexplicable creative choices behind their 1981 release, Music fromentire summary

Saw the LIU tour as it rolled into Long Beach Arena (CA) on 1/27/84. RIOT and Vandenberg were the openers. My First KISS concert, although I was a fan since '77, I wasn't old enough until this tour to go see them! Black Sabbath's Born Again tour/show was the day before this one on 1/26/84. Wish WV had a recording of that! Remembered alot of people with BA tour shirts at the KISS show. I only had enough money to see one of these shows. Great times at Long Beach Arena!

Next to the Stones, Kiss has the best stage presence of any band I have seen to date. Yep I was at this show :) They were unmasked, with the late Eric Carr on drums, and Vinnie Vincent on lead guitar. Paul and Gene in their usual roles. Hell they were old back then, but pushing my way to the front row of Muncipal Auditorium they had more naked and semi naked women than any boy band of recent fame.

Regardless of how it sounds now, Kiss shows were really fun in the 80's.

This was a cool show. It showed KISS re-inventing them self into a more 80's metal band. It may not have been there best time but it is a hell of alot better then the crap they are doing with the fake Ace & Peter. At least back them they replaced band members & they new guy could be him self.......

Is that Eric singing Black Diamond? It sounds really bad.

This concert is so bad that it actually sounds good.Probably one of their worst recorded concerts but still a piece of history that they should burn. This sounds awful,I will have to go listen to something better.
