Who is the commenter "Lompoc"? I too played with him when he was 13 years old.

Ribs tore it up on Asia Minor, I meet him in Lompoc when is was 13 years. He joined our band and had only been playing guitar for about 3 months. We were all 3 to 4 yrs older than Ribs but he could rock on Hendricks numbers already. Does anyone know what happened to him I know he was strung out bad and his sister died of an overdose. Lompoc

I WOULD HAVE TO SAY KINGFISH IS WEIR'S TIGHTEST ''SIDE PROJECT'' IT IS A DRAG THAT ROBBIE HODDINOTT FOUND THAT PERSIAN WAS A LITTLE LIFE CONSUMING BECAUSE HE 'COULD PLAY THAT GUITAR JUST LIKE RINGIN' A BELL'.I ALSO THINK MOST OF WEIR'S BANDS AFTER KINGFISH WERE PRETTY WEAK.MAYBE KINGFISH JUST HAD A CERTAIN LOOSENESS AND COOLNESS TO THEM.IT WOULD BE HIP IF SUM OF THEIR SHOW'S MADE IT TO ARCHIVES.ORG. BUT I REALLY MUST SAY I REALLY MISS THAT OTHER LOVER OF PERSIAN AND MARIN COUNTY RESIDENT EVEN THOUGH HE DID NOT LOOK HAPPY AT ALL PLAYING WITH THE DEAD THE LAST 5 YEARS OR SO BUT HE STILL DUG PLAYING IN HIS OWN BAND WHICH WAS COOL.

137 Dead shows - The Wolleman skating rink show was in '76. Was at that, as well as one of their Calderone shows. I remember they played "School Days" at Wolleman rink, which I don't believe made its way into their set list too often. Also saw one of their Calderone shows and although I don't remember the date (believe it was '75), I do remember that Les Dudek opened for them that night. Their shows were great and I still listen to their first ablum often. They had a great sound! Had not known that Robbie Hoddinott had passed away! RIP.
