As Twodan said, K.C. has secured their place in music history BUT sadly,,, they will never get into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. The RRHOF HATES progressive music. K.C., Yes, ELP (? not quite sure), Gentle Giant, Soft Machine and many many others literally has no chance of getting in. It's sad that the RRHOF totally ignores a huge segement of music just because they don't feel it is a "true" form of music. Sigh I mean think of it, Madonna is in but yet K.C. and Yes are not. What's up with that????

for 1969 these guys were way ahead of their time. i really can't say i'm familiar with king's original line-up. i am familiar with the individuals, but i did not know this was the original band. 'guess i've been living under a rock. as i would have no doubt, this sounds great. they sure do short sets. i saw/heard KC a few years back and it was intense except for the 45 min. short show. christ, my buddy and i were just starting to trip when the show ended. it appears by the set lists i see of each of these shows that KC just did not and does not do much in the way of a long show. amazing band, but what is up with the short sets?! love the music. i just had to get that off my chest. peace, jim

King Crimson's place in rock history is secure. They were masters of innovation.

King Crimson is one of the greatest bands of their time. Everytime I listen to them it brings back some great memories.

I was at this show! I was 14 years old and remember be so overwhelmed by King Crimson, that my sister and I went to a music store and bought their first LP after the show!. I still have it!

Good god, my brain would have *melted* during 21st Century Schizoid Man. I can't imagine what concert goers must have thought of this 'music from another planet' given the blues heavy influences of most rock music at that time. Unbelieveable!

OK, someone has to confirm my memory of time of this show. I was only around 13 at the time and a big Joe Cocker fan. I do remember this line up (KC, FM and Joe) and being completely stunned by this band. But I remember cutting school and going to a AFTERNOON show and the ticket was about 3 dollars! A girl I had a total crush on asked me to go. I don't even remember her name but I'll never forget this show. A mind blowing light show too. Can anyone out there confirm this line up played at the Fillmore during the afternoon?

As a long time fan (I was only nine years old in '69) it is a true gift to hear this early show. King Crimson was a huge influence for me.They definitely played apart in cementing the thought that I wanted to be a pro musician into progressive Rock.Thanx to all the of the members over the years!

I saw King Crimson in 1969 and this sounds just as I remembered them, turn the volume up and even the distortion rings true.PEACE

I remember this show as if it was yesterday... What an eclectic show, we went to see Joe Cocker & the Grease Band but were absolutely blown away by Crimson. Oh yea Cocker was great and I was forunate to see the real Fleetwood Mac as the 2nd act.
