Concert Summary

Although this 1982 Ohio area show features Kenny Loggins' full band, it has its most poignant moments during the unplugged "one to one" section of the show. Loggins was already a major solo superstar by the time this concert was taped for the King Biscuit Flower Hour, and he was now able to pepper his sets with both solo hits and Loggins & Messina hits, using the lesser-known, newer songs as transitions to the crowd favorites.

After a few band hits and tracks from his then-new LP, High Adventures (including an incomplete medley of "Whenever I Call You Friend" and "What A Fool…entire summary

I have seen Kenny Loggins either with Jim Messina or a solo act each and everytime he came to St Louis....since the very first days. I had to travel to Columbus Ohio to see the reunion of Loggins and Messina....needless to say Im a fan. Kenny Loggins always keeps producing music to live by.....his talents shine through with each and every song he writes. This concert is a wonderful trip back to his roots. Just saw Jim Messina with his old friends in POCO in a wonderful setting of about 300 people. I came away with one very strong feeling from that night...Jim Messina is not happy and its reflected in his music these days. Kenny Loggins always has a smile on his face and you can feel that smile in his music.

The venue would be Blossom Music Center, a beautiful large amphitheater nestled in the Cuyahoga Valley.

The personal listed on this concert is incorrect. The correct band lineup is: Vernon Porter/Bass and Vocals, Neil Larsen/Keys and Vocals, Steve Wood/Keys and Vocals, Mike Hamilton/Guitar and Vocals/, Tris Imboden/Drums, and of course Kenny Loggins/Vocals and Guitar.
