One of the more noted Chicago blues singers and harmonica players, Junior Wells began playing harmonica as a child. When he was just sixteen, he auditioned for Muddy Waters and in 1952 joined Waters' band. It was with Waters that Wells cut his first solo hit, "Hoodoo Man."
