Concert Summary

This lengthy 1984-set showcases metal icons, Judas Priest, at their mid-1980s best. Consisting of the classic British Steel line-up that included vocalist Rob Halford, guitarists KK Downing and Glenn Tipton, bassist Ian Hill, and drummer Dave Holland, this recording was originally done for the King Biscuit Flower Hour and is essentially a greatest hits collection for the band, with some extra surprises.

I also saw the show at M.S.G. It was an amazing show with a fierce N.Y.C crowd blowing off fireworks and aerosol torches and as someone else mentioned at the end of the show the crowd went into a frenzy and ripped up all the seats and threw all the cushions at the stage. My friend and I left are seats and went all the way to the back of the garden behind the blue seats against the back wall and watched this mayhem unfold for the last few songs. It was an amazing sight, one I'll probably never forget, but it sucks that they never played there again. Maybe someday they will return to M.S.G. I'm there.

By far the Best Concert I've ever attended...saw them at Madison Square Garden (NYC) for this tour. Halford and the band pumped the crowd into a frenzy, the adrenaline high was unreal. Everyone walked out of that show ready to take on the world! Unfortunately, last show Priest ever played at the Garden...weren't allowed back after the crowd ripped apart all the seats (cushions flying everywhere - stage was covered) - Show them this past July for the 30th anniversary of British Steel...Priest still are the METAL GODS - Bar none!!

I didn't get to my first Priest concert until 1991 in Oakland, CA. They headlined and Slayer opened up for them. It was one of the hardest metal shows I have ever seen. I was tossed about on the floor through both sets like a meaningless wiff for over two plus hours. I had no control of my body. I had to work hard just to breathe. It was an insane show. I lost my hearing for two days after, up all night, you know the drill.

I remember when I was about 14 or 15 and I was listening to the radio at about midnight. Thats when the KBFH came on. They palyed this show and I was blown away by Desert Plains. I saw the Priest on the Defenders tour ( I shook Robs hand) in NC a little later and agin this year in Bamberg Germany on the Nastrodamus tour. It was the most solid show Ive evr seen. They played together better than any band Ive ever seen.
