Concert Summary

Opening with the crunch of dual Marshall-amped guitars, Judas Priest rocks out with "Out In The Cold" and "Locked In" for this memorable King Biscuit Flower Hour Show. The band made their U.S. break-though with British Steel in the early '80s, and were one of the biggest metal bands in the world (a crown they would hand down to Metallica around this time).

Since this was still a few years away from singer …entire summary

PRIEST MUSIC WAS AND ALWAYS WILL BE THE HIGH BAR OF HEAVY METAL!!! (and please dont ever mention def leppard as being in the 'same vein' as JP again) some DL is great some is good, but in the same category as priest? no

Hey I saw the same show in Providence... I was not really a Priest fan at the time, but metal had gotten so lame with all the "Hair Bands", I needed a good dose of solid metal(which I knew Priest were that at least). They blew me away completely beyond anything I could have hoped for. In fact, the place went crazy with riots and destroyed property that night. Their unrelenting show, followed by the non-stop encores one that I will never forget, even through the haze of whatever it was I was on at the time...

This is when Priest was f____ing peaking!!! Killer 80's show. I was so fortunate to see them with Slayer in Oakland, CA in 90'. Sickest metal show only second to Slayer/Venom show in the 80's. Biggest and most uncontrollable (you had no control) mosh pit I have ever been in, period. My leather jacket was destroyed. Stayed up all night as well if you know what I mean...Hell yeah!!!

If I'd heard then what I can hear now maybe my generation wouldn't have gotten thrown away. In my teens I heard and loved Judas Priest. Now I'm an adult and I'm loving listening to Judas Priest. If I could I would apolagise now for giving them the respect they deserve in my youth. If only we listened to the message they were trying to give us.

I saw this show in Philly. I remember hating the Turbo album and I intially planned on boycotting this show. The only reason I went was to see Dokken who were opening (they were great btw). When Priest came on and opened with "Out in the Cold" I was like "oh boy, this show is going to suck". However when they launched into "Heading Out" they became the Priest that I knew and loved again. I had to repent for doubting the mighty Priest as they showed me again why they were the best live metal act of all time. Unfortunately those days are gone. I saw Priest a few months ago and Halford's voice is shot. I would give anything to hear Halford as he sounded in the 80's again.

Saw the 84, 86 and 1988 tours in Kansas City all at the Sandstone Ampitheater (Bonner Springs, KS). All 3 were amazing shows, 1984 was my fave though being that it was on my birthday. Since listening to this group since 1977, I can truly say that Halford and Priest are still "Deliverin' the Goods!"

Now viewed as one of their weaker albums & tours due to guitar synths & pop metal songs in the vein of Def Leppard more than contemporaries like Iron Maiden, this concert nevertheless boasts a strong set list & excellant set list.Saw this tour in PRovidence RI & energy level was top notch.
