John Mayall is the British blues artist, theorist and purist whose band the Bluesbreakers was both his mouthpiece and the practice field for aspiring bluesmen and blues pilgrims. From the '60s through the early '70s, his band was temporary home to Eric Clapton, Mic Fleetwood, John McVie, Aynsley Dunbar, Mick Taylor and Peter Green, among others, all of whom stepped out to new ventures of their own after OTJ training.
