Concert Summary

Knowing that there would be a huge amount of publicity surrounding their wedding on March 20, 1969, John Lennon and Yoko Ono decided to use the opportunity to promote a cause close to their hearts. Their first Bed-In for Peace took place in late March during their honeymoon in Amsterdam, where they sat in a hotel bed and allowed members of the media to swing by during the day to discuss their ideas for achieving world peace. Hoping to reach a larger audience, a second Bed-In was scheduled for late May in New York, but because of John's conviction for possession of marijuana and resultant…entire summary

Yes, a lot of people know what Yoko was talking about. She was and is a bright woman with a lot of creative and progressive ideas. It's a good thing that she still upsets lots of people (especially my fellow men ha), but then most independent and intelligent woman have that effect, even on so called liberal men. John loved her for all those things, and if you really loved John Lennon, why would you disrespect who he chose to be with, and to whom he dedicated so many songs? P.S. check out her book Grapefruit for some stimulation, and her box set Yoko's Box. John is on a lot of it, and it rocks. Peace..!

With all the violence going on in the world today and our involvement with Iraq and Afghanistan, My thoughts would be if John was around today his 1969 Give Peace A Chance song and mantra would now be Make Peace The Change.
    Miss you John

I noticed how he talks about the Beatles as if they would still be around for years.

yoko made a lot of sense, i'm really feeling like a yoko fan today. if you dig what she said, you can't immediately lead people to a transcendental scene when they're caught in the yin-yang flow of peace-violence. so if people are feeling peaceful maybe they will be open to going beyond peace & violence. peace isn't anything you know, it's just the other side of the violence coin. go yoko!

John was one of a kind. If everyone had his mindset, the dream of peace would have been accomplished in his lifetime. All You Need Is Love.

John, articulate, passionate, aware... Yoko, does anybody know what she was talking about? Sadly, however, not everybody got the message and people still kill each other in the name of whatever. We miss you John.
