As a writer for other superstars, he gave hit material to the likes of Bonnie Raitt, Rosanne Cash, …entire summary

I've been a fan since waaaay back and recently watched Austin City Limits for the repeat performance featuring Guy Clark, Joe Ely, John "my man" Hiatt, and Lyle Lovett. I swear John sounds better than ever and his performance of "Memphis In the Meantime" was phenomenal (as was everything he did on that show!)... I think I'm about to swoon! Somebody get me a mint julep and a fan, I'm getting the vapors over that man! Just a Georgia Peach-anonymous

This guy is so underated,I've seen him a couple of times in the UK, once at Manchester University with Jamie Farragher; the most laid back bass player in the world, now with Elvis Costello I believe, and secondly with Ry Cooder, Nick Lowe and Jim Keltner as Little Village at The Playhouse in Edinburgh. What a pity Cooder didn't like touring, Little Village would probably still be around. About he toured here again!!

Man, what a great set. I first got turned on to John's music 20-something years ago and have been preaching the Gospel according to John ever since. I've seen him perform twice -- once on his SOLO tour (amazing) and again a year later when he was backed by the North Mississippi Allstars. There's none like him, and he is a true "National Treasure" indeed. Paul

John Hiatt is a national treasure as a singer/songwriter and deserves much more exposure than he gets. I have done my part, showcasing his stuff on radio in my dj days in UT and encourage others out there to do the same!

Great stuff !!! Just saw John on his tour this summer - and he sounds very good. It is nice to hear this vintage concert - Thank you, John.

Thanks Bob, we've fixed that up.

Something's wrong with the begining of this set. Track 1 "band intro", should be before Thing Called Love, track 2 "introduction" is the real begining of the show when the MC brings the band onstage. I was at this show at the Tower, when John Hiatt & The Goners opened up for the Robert Cray Band. It was a terriffic double bill.
