Concert Summary

By 1970, Jimi Hendrix was devoting a great deal of his time to the studio. He spent much of his time at his own studio, Electric Lady, developing new material and experimenting with numerous musicians. The process of creating and recording new music held his passion, while churning out requests before roaring crowds was losing his interest. His first real post-Experience group, Band Of Gypsys, had fallen apart after playing only five gigs and he was now in the process of morphing the two groups into one by bringing back Experience drummer, Mitch Mitchell, while retaining the Band Of Gypsies…entire summary

Just to make it clear - there are some "guitar gods" and - beyond few lightyears - there's some guy called Jimi Hendrix.

I think this version is the one on the " Jimi Hendrix" dvd (double dvd),although its not the full version as its spliced with the first half of the song from a previous black and white performance from the Marquee in London, this version is awesome, the solo is unbelievable and I absolutely love how he makes his guitar sound as though its dropping bombs with the aide of his foot pedal, also the tight, dry sound he gets when he does the tongue thing whilst doing a cutting descending then ascending scale run one one string,Ive watched a lot of his performances on dvd and this by far my favourite at the moment.
