Concert Summary

Recorded on their The Broadsword and the Beast album tour for the King Biscuit Flower Hour, Anderson and company provide an even-paced evening that bridges their new material and the commercial breakthrough hits that made Jethro Tull one of the biggest bands of the 1970s, although many of the biggest hits (such as "Teacher," "My God," "Hymn 43," and "Thick as a Brick") are notably absent. Anderson and crew rely heavily on the Broadsword material to fill out the show, playing only three of the big, classic hits at the end of the set.

Killer quality on everything, even Peggy's bass is brought to the fore. My only complaint, never did like the way Gerry Conway played "Minstrel", sounded too pop. Great show otherwise and it's especially nice to hear songs like Weathercock and Fire at Midnight which weren't even played on the SFTW or Heavy Horses tours. Now if only we could get an entire concert from the Stormwatch tour in such awesome quality.

Tull are the greatest. I saw them as support for Hendrix in 1968 in Copenhagen, they blew him away! OK Hendrix was never good in Denmark, but Tull were outstanding!
