Concert Summary

Following sets by Stoneground, New Riders of the Purple Sage, and Mike Bloomfield & Friends, the Garcia-Saunders Band took the stage at Winterland. They invited several friends to sit in over the course of the show, making this one of the more unique performances by the group.

To Gregory Douglas--you don't know who the "F" Wolfgang was? Really?

Would anyone care to enlighten Mr. Douglas?

I was lucky enough to work with most of the people playing on stage that night. Some are gone, and are missed, but the music lives on. I knew Roger Troy played bass, but had never heard him sing until this show - what a wonderful surprise. I worked with Jerry and Merl for years booking their shows around the Bay and the occasional short tour. The stories I could tell about shows at the Keystone.
Thank you Freddy Herrera for allowing us to do our thing at your club. Ken Beals

There are three CDs of exquisite music by the core 4 of this band called Live at Keystone 1 and 2 and Keystone Encores. Great to hear this new show! Too bad Bloomfield didn't sit in...
