Poster Art Q & A

Description

It's been said that The Jefferson Airplane made the Fillmore, and the Fillmore made the Jefferson Airplane. Here, the Airplane share billing with another San Francisco favorite, The Grateful Dead, and Wes Wilson's squashed letters recreate the liquid lightshow effects.

The pre-concert 1st printing has a white reverse and measures 13 15/16" x 20 1/16".

The 2nd printing has a blue reverse and measures 14" x 19 15/16". It was printed after the concert.

The 3rd printing also has a blue reverse and bears "17" on the lower right edge above the "Wilson '66" credit. This post-concert printing measures 14" x 19 15/16".

Wolfgang's Vault owns one of the world's largest collections of original concert posters, featuring hundreds of rock posters, political posters, sports posters, comedy posters and others that were previously unavailable to the general public. Virtually all of our concert posters are in mint condition, and many are signed by the headline performer or the graphic artist.
