I was in high school and hung out at the local record store. One day I went in and the owner said I really needed to hear this album by a new SF group. It was Jefferson Airplane Takes Off. It is still one of my favorites, and I have both my original vinyl and the CD. This is a significant historic live performance for this iconic group. And I always loved Signe's voice. I now have more songs with her singing. This concert is a real find. Thank you so much for making it available.

jims, she was pregnant and decided she'd rather be a mother than a rock & roll singer. I always thought it would be interesting to track her down and interview her--I'd be interested in her background, how she came to join the band, etc. Not to mention how she's been spending the last 45 years.

i'm not sure if i have ever heard signe anderson. i often wonder about folks who have walked off from a good thing. i suppose everyone has their reasons. i once dated a woman in d.c. whose father was asked by jorma and jack to go to s.f. with them to start a band. my girlfriends mother was pregnant with her at the time and did not want her husband to be in a rock-n-roll band. the choices people make sometimes. i never met jack, but i did know his mother in bethesda, md. a very nice lady. jack looks a lot like her. funny stuff. peace eveyone.
