After the release of his album Flash in 1985, Jeff Beck took a bit of a hiatus, trading in his axe for wrenches as he spent time working on cars. By the time this phone interview was recorded with Scott Muni for the World of Rock, he was just starting to climb back out of the garage.

    since the sixties you only got what gossip there was from teen mag never did get alot on jeff but low and behold here comes the age of the computer it's nice to have alot of jeff now!

    One doesn't get to hear Jeff speak very often. In retrospect it's interesting to hear of his excitement about the Beck, Bozzio, Hymas lineup. As always, fans like me tend to like whatever he's doing at the given moment (I'm still waiting for release of his recordings with a string quartet... and he'd planned to do something with the London Symphony), but it would have been interesting to have seen the Guitarshop concept extend further than just the one album.
