After exiting the Yardbirds in 1967, Jeff Beck recruited Rod Stewart, Ron Wood and Mickey Waller to help him pursue his own musical direction. the show that needs to be on here is a gig, jeff and his new group did in finland. it's really nice. max middleton and jeff made some nice sound together. but anyways, jeff was completely underated and unappreciated. i've listened to a lot of hendrix, duane allman, page, and the so called gods but it's always Jeff's style that wins me over every time. jeff was the missing link that music really needed because he was so creative and improvisational. he finally offered an alternative to vanilla.

Jeff's Lovely Voice of "Hi Ho Silver". Historical.

Love the version of "Hi Ho Silver"--great solo on that. The guitar on this recording is bright and up-front. The whole thing is nice. No, it is not the Faces. It is the Jeff Beck Group--it is much closer to being the Yardbirds in style and crunch and, finally, in the guitar lexicon.
