Classic blues! Right up there with The Paul Butterfield Blues Band recordings found on this site. Love the 60's blues recordings!

In 1985, I worked on the sound crew for the PACE "Big Orange Festival" in Miami. James Cotton and his Band headlined a show at Metrozoo's concert field.(8,000 people) James did 3-40 minute sets. The first was acoustic "Delta blues", the second was "1950's Chicago style" and the third was "modern blues". I worked next to the monitor board onstage. Just before the show started, he came up to me and asked if I would keep his 16oz. plastic cup filled during the show.(big green jug of Chablis wine) He tore the place up, boy! He was so exuberant that at one point he did a cartwheel onstage!(50 yrs.old) The crowd loved his show and called him out for 2 encores...

James Cotton always had rockin' sets, and this was no exception. Luther Tucker's guitar sets the mood and James' harp closes the deal. This is a very good performance by a master harp player.
