One main reason that the Grateful Dead have such an enormous quantity of music on this site and any other site on the web is because they made recording/taping from every angle so accessable to amateurs and professionals alike. What other bands from any time era openly allow recording? I'll bet that the only ones that do are other jam bands that have spawned since the Grateful Dead.

I'm not sure why someone would take the time to COMPLAIN about this FREE Vault listening (obviously, the writer isn't a fan, an so not going to buy any Dead). If you don't like it why even bother? I know your complaint is there are too many Dead shows, but do you really think that these shows are posted at the expense of others? I can only imagine the folks who take the time to do this UNBELIEVABLE site reading a COMPLAINT and shaking their heads....perhaps the bands you like don't have/can't get clearance from their record company contracts...Or maybe the reason is something else...but slagging "old hippies", and declaring yourself a "loyal listener"(as if that somehow makes your point worth more?)Is just a waste of your time.Have you ever heard the expression, Generate more Light than Heat? Or is that too hippie of me? Really....if you don't like the Dead, why waste your precious time(it really is!) COMPLAINING???

Well, I'll be, another Dead show emerges from the Vault! So that brings us to 84 Dead shows here... hum... it's starting to look like a an old hippie's tape trade list, not like Bill Graham's secret stash! Come on, guys, where are the rare shows, from the rare bands? At least you're not writing summaries of these Dead shows, I mean, all you have to do is reference one of the other ones because they all sound just about the same! Open the Vault and bring us loyal listeners the goods, please!!!
