Crisscrossing from the Fillmores East and West, the band had held forth in New York in January and returned again for the February dates and again later in…entire summary

All i can tell all you folks out there who weren't around to see The Grateful Dead at the Fillmore East back in nineteen hundred and '70--YOU MISSED OUT ON SOMETHING VERY, VERY SPECIAL!!! We went to the friday night late show on the 13th!! And for the gentlemen who was complaining about the recording--i'm here to tell you that it was SOME OF THE BEST QUALITY OF SOUND YOU ARE EVER GOING TO HERE ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD, INCLUDING CARNEGIE HALL!!! AND, BY THE WAY, THERE WAS THE JOSHUA LIGHT SHOW THAT BLENDED GREAT WITH ALL 2,500 PEOPLE WHO WERE TRAVELING THRU THE UNIVERSE WITH THE GRATEFUL DEAD!!!

I've tried, really, really tried for 45 years to like these guys, but I'm sorry; there's a half a million middle school garage bands out there that sound better. I realize that there's something here I'm just not getting-but whatever it is, it sure ain't music.

Have any musicians since this time done anything remotely as adventurous as Dark Star? These guys were fearless.

the old filmore east days 3 performers less than ten dollars a ticket and plenty of pot

The music is good, but the recording is ruined by a terrible noise from the end of Cold Rain And Snow until the middle of Dark Star.

Yo Smudge I really like Anything Else, they were a great band too. You have to stop living in the past lol
