Concert Summary

This red hot performance by Dutch superstars, Golden Earring, was among several sets recorded for broadcast on the King Biscuit Flower Hour between 1974 and 1984. The group, which had gone more than a decade between their biggest radio hits, was back in action with Cut, a bona fide comeback record that spawned the mega-FM hit, "Twilight Zone." They also lay down a killer version of their biggest hit, "Radar Love." (That song appears here in a 21-minute version, complete with extensive guitar, bass, and drum solos.). Also featured in this show are other tracks from Cut,…entire summary

During these tours in the late 70's/ early 80's, Caesar used to do a 360 degree flip from his drum kit to center stage at the end of the show. It was amazing. Great band- still going strong.

Mr. Bill is right. This is not the whole concert. Golden Earring used to open their shows with a few heavy tracks and not with Vanilla Queen. After the last track you can hear the beginning of another track. ( in my opinion: Save your skin ). Maybe you'll find the rest of the concert. It would be nice.

Saw them in Cleveland on this tour. George the most underated Rock guitarist and very good lighting effects for the time where is the rest of the concert? No Eight Miles High, Just Like Vince Taylor, Candy's Going Bad and knew they played at least 2 hours.

I cherish my Moontan 12" vinyl jacket. This album defined my High School and College existence.

Again you did a good job ! Thanks, thanks, thanks. Golden Earring did a lot of US tours: from 1969 till 1984. So there's still a lot of stuff to find, I think. For example: a concert with the second lead guitarist Eelco Gelling in the late seventies. ( 1976-1978 ) Your site is really brilliant. I think it's a real important pop/blues/rock history document; also for the future generations. Keep on rockin'. Greetings from Holland. (nr.3 is really the second part of Vanilla Queen.)

Never heard something from this concert before. Nice !, although I expect the running order to been thrown around a bit by the KBH. Normally Heartbeat would appear earlier in the set and Vanilla Queen with Radar Love were sort of a grand final

Man, these guys have talent and raw, aggresive power! Shame they never made it bigger here in the US.
