Concert Summary

One of the most powerful rock music forces to ever emerge from the Netherlands, Golden Earring is one of few bands to achieve international chart success in three consecutive decades, first with their hit cover of The Byrds' "Eight Miles High" in 1969, followed by "Radar Love" in 1973, and "Twilight Zone" in 1982. The latter two remain staples of classic rock radio today. A group never content to follow any formula for very long, they approached each…entire summary

When I was a young I found one of their older albums in a Save-vet store,it was recorded under the Dwarf records label. The band was unheard of to most at the time,it was years before Radar love was put out.The Dwarf records label would make me think it's now a rare record to own. On the album are some great tracks, such as Long as the wind blows,Wall of Dolls and Big Tree Blue sea. I seen Golden Earring live years later and hoped they would had played Long as the wind blows,as it is one of my favorite songs even to this day. I have many Golden Earring import albums, some go back as far back as the mid 60's when they were just kids,so these guy's had put in their years before becoming known.what a great band. Thanks Wolfgang for bringing these great performances to me and others to hear. A little echo trouble on the intro to radar but the rest sounds good so far.Funny, the summary has them headlining in'73,but in '78or'79 I saw them open for Aerosmith as last min. replacements for STYX.-GTRZAN

A really spacey band.Golden Earring did their work with that honor. It?s the first time I have the chance to hear them live, so, thanks you guys!

I downloaded this concert & when I play it back on my computer speakers (simple boston acoustic stereo pair) it never fails to amaze me, sounds like I am right there, sound seems to come from all directions even though speakers are right next to each other on the desk, weird!

great to hear a band that walked it's own path just building up to their first shot at a global market.good use of the flute and the early version of what was an unknown song for most people "radar love" wonder what happened to that little ditty?
