Description

George Harrison and Pattie Boyd... two parts of the three that make up the most famous love triangle in rock 'n' roll. As one of the most notable muses in rock history, Pattie Boyd was the visceral force behind the Beatles' "Something" and of course, Eric Clapton's "Layla" and "Wonderful Tonight." Captured here by the ever-present lens of photographer Gene Anthony in San Francisco's Golden Gate Park, Boyd and Harrison were still a young and happy couple, riding on a crest of Beatles mania that made their relationship—and its public undoing—quite a spectacle in the rock community. In its embodiment of the spirit of the '60s, this candid photograph is a token snapshot into a bygone era.
