Concert Summary

By the time this King Biscuit Flower Hour recording was made in 1978, the classic five piece Genesis lineup of Peter Gabriel, Steve Hackett, Phil Collins, Tony Banks and Mike Rutherford had dwindled to only Collins, Banks and Rutherford. Hence, the title of the album released for this tour: And Then There Were Three.

Ironically, even with its popular lead vocalist and acclaimed guitarist long gone,…entire summary

I attended this Houston concert back in '78. This was later called the "Mirror Tour" where they had 3 giant mirrors rotating above the stage creating spectacular effects.

I love this era too. Evan the band dogs And Then There Were Three but I think its solid. And the tour was great.

I remember "Eleventh Earl of Mar" opened this tour's set. Also miss "Fountain of Salmacis"--sounds good otherwise. Third concert for me---Genesis on the Wind and
Wuthering tour and ELP Works (sans orchestra) with Journey minus Steve Perry . Pretty cool to have seen this legendary band when I was 13. Indelible impression!

My first concert was Genesis at the Forum in LA Monday 17 April 1978 so this piece brings back awesome memories. Thanks for posting!

Very nice, but what's missing from this recording is the very interesting and powerful "Dancing with the Moonlitknight/Musical Box" medley they played on this tour. On the other hand, "The Lady Lies" totally kills on this tour--much better than the version from the Duke tour, in my opinion.
