This concert opened up my ears to Gene Clark's talent as both a singer and a songwriter. The stripped down version of "Don't You Write Her Off" in this set is far better than the overproduced single that followed. I subsequently found and bought copies of "No Other" and "White Light". The former is definately a forgotten gem.

Gene Clark is one of the great unsung heroes of Cosmic Americana. His contribution is greater than that of the highly regarded Gram Parsons. I would urge everybody to check out his solo albums especially "No other" rightly regadrd as one of the classic 70's albums
