I thought I was the only one the remembered Gary Myrick and the Figures. They are one of my all time favorites. I've never heard them live. This is awesome.

Talk about a flashback!! I was at this concert at Tango with all my friends just prior to entering the Marine Corps. What a night, what a show!! It sucks to get old!

Gary Myrick is an old time friend and one of the finest people I have ever known. He was in that era, so far ahead of his time, and such a fine and talented musician, and having heard him live in September of 2008, he has only grown and gotten better threw the years. Must admit, I am partial to his older stuff, but his accustic album " Waltz of the Scarecrow King" is in my opinion, some of his finest work. Just want him to keep putting it out and giving the world his best, as he always does, so I can further enjoy his growth and versital styles. Best to you Gary, You desearve it.

I had a girlfriend who turned me on to his "talks in stereo" album and was hooked. It was about 1980 and it was a rockin' scene in Tampa/Orlando. Never saw GM live, but his style was perfect for the timz. I have his Havana 3AM stuff, but I prefer his early stuff. Brings back some good memories - Adrianne! Steve

Awesome concert from an innovative guitarist. Gary Myrick in his early solo days was a force to be reckoned with ... his work with John Waite (No Brakes album) as well as his solo albums (Language, Living In A Movie, Stand For Love)are a testament to this .... check him out. He's still out there and he's still relevant!

To clarify above, I talked to Gary at a Havana 3 A.M. show.
