Taking its name from the fact that the original members were drawn from both sides of the Atlantic, Foreigner's '77 self-titled debut marked its early transatlantic success. The band's Bad Company-like hard rock on top of no-brainer power ballads served a healthy mix of hit singles. Hits from the debut included "Feels Like The First Time," "Cold As Ice" and "Long Long Way From Home." 1978's Double Vision dished out more solid rock, offering the steamiest tune of the time, "Hot Blooded." Into the '80s, some reshaping within Foreigner took place as a new wave of records faced the new decade.
