Concert Summary

This show came three years after Foreigner would have its initial success with songs like "Long Long Way From Home," "Feels Like The First Time," and "Cold As Ice." The band had become one of the biggest international rock acts, and at a time when disco had taken over the music industry, was proving that there still was a massive market for a great rock 'n' roll band with memorable songs.

After multi-platinum success with their debut LP and its sophomore follow up, Double Vision, the band returned in 1979 with…entire summary

Good sound on this one. I saw them around this time at Rose Arena, Central Michigan University. It was my senior year in high school, it was LOUD in a very small arena -- a truly thrilling concert! Great performance, sound, light. I played the Double Vision album to death and replaced it with the cd as soon as it came out. Great stuff!

I think I was at this show. This is the Foreigner 4 tour. I remember Foreigner was good, but Bryan Adams opened up and he was better!

Foreigner are still great. Saw them tonight 08/27/09. They headlined at the Antelope Valley Fair in Northern-most Los Angeles County and performed outdoors, packed the up-close seats and all the newer metal grandstands, which rocked and shook with all the stomping, yelling and screaming. Ex-Rolling Stones guitarist Mick Jones can still bring the fire with his axe. Towards the end of the over 1 1/2 hour set, they added a version of "Whole Lotta Love" to make a medley. They closed with "Hot Blooded". Whole set fantastic. I havent heard these concerts yet, but knowing the Vault's rep, they'll be good. Oh, and guess who opened the concert. No, Guess Who opened the concert. No, GUESS WHO opened the concert. Oh, I give up.....

Azimuth needs adjusting on so many important WV shows, and this would be one of em... Do it again boys, and get some real engineers in there to do the job... Real evident under headphones.

Seem them on this tour, When the curtains drew back and the show began all the lights were out with the exception of one spot light. There standing on a 3 step pedstal was Mick dressed in black with his knees bent and leaning back into that awesome Rock n Roll guitar pose cranking out the opening guitar riff to Long Long way from home. WOW What a memory to cherish for the ages.

This is like a dream come true. I had a cassette recording from the King Biscuit FP Hour the night they broadcast this. The tape was a piece of crap, the recording sounded like I had the mike up to one speaker, asshole friends recorded over parts of it. So bad I couldn't bear to listen to it and haven't since the very early 80's although the tracks were indelibly etched into my cortical folds. Imagine my excitement hearing it again over a quarter century later. I would pay a small fortune to be able to download this one (and the REO Speedwagon broadcast from the Rosemont Horizon).

Does anyone know who opened for Foreigner for the Head Games tour?
