Concert Summary

Before there was ever a band called Foghat, core members Tony "Tone" Stevens (bass), Roger Earl (drums), and "Lonesome" Dave Peverett (guitar/lead vocals) were important early players in guitarist Kim Simmonds' British blues outfit, Savoy Brown. Based in England, Stevens, Earl and Lonesome Dave played on classic Savoy Brown albums such as A Step Further and Raw Sienna, more than aptly backing vocalist Chris…entire summary

They are still touring with Charlie Kuhn (formerly with Ted Nugent) as frontman....Foghat Live held its own in the 70's, a decade that gave us Kiss ALive/Frampton Comes ALive/wings OVer AMerica, etc.Loved that 8 track! Saw them twice, loud as hell especially the slide guitar leads but not too exciting to watch.Stilll great party music, though!

I saw Foghat about 5 times back in the 70s. Strange thing is they usually were the warm up band but i always looked forward to them. Loved them then and love them even now. Thanks WV for putting this up for streaming!

I saw Foghat in concert in Portland, Oregon back in 1980. The Southern Rock band Blackfoot was the opening act (strange combination)and Blackfoot was way more awesome. So unfortunately Foghat was rather anti-climatic. They just did not seem to have the energy that I and my friends had expected. I suspect that by 1980 they were past their prime. I do love their music and this concert is a great reminder of what this band was capable of - Love It!!!

Saw Foghat before they became Stars. They opened for Mountain at Hampton,Va. and almost stole the show. Being a Savoy Brown fan it was an easy leap to Foghat. They were a great live band.

@kingue - that is correct; the way the songs are presented here matches how they were released as a King Biscuit CD.

Hey! What ever happened to these Guys??? For that matter, what ever happened to most of the "Boys of the Road, Rock Your Socks Off Live Proformance Bands???" They are few and far between now. And sadly, not many to fill Their Shoes coming up in Rock Today.
For Live Rock it don't get much better than the "Southern Rock" Band from England, FOGHAT!
