Concert Summary

Although this performance includes only two songs (Clapton's "One Night With You" and "Can't Find My Way Home" from his brilliant 1969 super group Blind Faith), there is sufficient material here to gauge Clapton's expertise on the guitar and get a sense of the superior musicianship that has made him such an enduring presence in rock 'n' roll.

Recorded originally for the King Biscuit Flower Hour on his 1976 North American tour, this performance captures Slowhand in Houston, TX at a sensitive but transcendent time in his personal and professional life. After an incredibly creative…entire summary

I would second the earlier comments - track one is pretty bad. I'm not sure which of the 2 vocalists it is, but she is going for like a growly, Etta James type delivery and just doesn't pull it off...pretty cheesey. Track 2 is much better. Clapton is obviously intoxicated in the introduction.

Wow Yvonne Elliman rocks so sweet who knew disco queen started so soulful

Jaybat said, "Clapton's Appearance in Tribute to George is wonderful", but I say his playing with the Indian musicians is somewhere between laughable and excruciating as he spreads blues noodles over their fine but, for his sake, simplified backing.

There seems to be some confusion about this and the Dallas show. If this is the one that was recorded for King Biscuit, why does my 32 year old tape have Clapton saying, "Thank you and good night, Dallas" at the end of Layla?
