Concert Summary

By 1976, Eric Clapton was a rock 'n' roll sensation, having lent his guitar virtuosity to some of the best bands in the world: from the Yardbirds and John Mayall's Bluesbreakers to Cream and Blind Faith. Although his self-titled debut solo album had been released six years earlier, addiction to heroin rendered him relatively musically incapacitated for several years, so his solo career wasn't really truly explored until…entire summary

An absolutely stunning version of this song - even allowing for the obligatory drum solo.

As a long time Clapton fan.
I seen many incarnations of Eric's bands.
I seen this band a lot in the mid 70's.
One of my favorite lineups. RIP Carl Dean Radle

Please, If anyone can tell me: Who are Valentino Pena and Don Duca? All I know is that they both lived and worked here in Tulsa. They're shown in a group shot of the band (at the time) at Leon Russell's Grand Lake ne Tiajuana(sp) Ok. And they had what connection to the band or the Oklahoma music contengency.

Amazing show....some interesting comments here however; the Dallas show is considered one of his best shows....ever.. and the version of Layla here along with the Layla from the 6/25/75 Providence RI show are in all probability two of the best vesrions of this beautiful song from that era. Sure he is blasted on Cavasier but it doesnt effect his playing in the slightest. This is not the whole show (Duh)! missing is Badge, Key To The Highway, Tell The Truth, Cant Find My Way Home, All Our Past Times, One Night and the finale.....Further On Up The Road, featuring Fredie King. A real gem for all Clapton fans....a must have.
