Concert Summary

After a slump that lasted through his battles with drug addiction and a few of his albums, Eddie Money was enjoying a meaningful comeback in 1986, with a Top 10 hit single, "Take Me Home Tonight." The song, which Money didn't want to record at first, featured guest vocalist Ronnie Spector reprising her vocal line from her 1963 hit, "Be My Baby."

This show was recorded at L.A.'s prestigious Wiltern Theatre, for the King Biscuit Flower Hour, a…entire summary

Just saw Eddie Money at Boulder Station in Las Vegas. It was a rocking show. I was impressed, seeing him for the first time. His 20 yo daughter sings with him and she's good too.

*Kevin Gilbert - keyboards* .....reason enough to give this a listen. Not just a keyboard player, if you don't know who Kevin was get your hands on the "Toy Matinee" album, his solo album "THUD" or the posthumously album titled "The Shaming of the True"...a true musical genius. oh, and he wrote most of Sheryl Crow's first album "Tuesday Night Music Club"

I saw Mr Money back in the day at a concert at Jones Beach on LI, NY, and the highlight was Ronnie Spector walking on stage for "Take Me Home Tonight". Great version on this show of "Trinidad", too. Thanks for the memories!

I used to enjoy seeing Eddie in the clubs of San Francisco before he hit it big. He had a phenomenol lead guitarist named Jimmy Lyons. He was getting too much attention and suddenly was gone. I'd like to know what happened to him if anybody knows. Also, his female vocalist in this (and many) shows is Annie Sampson formerly of Stoneground and many other Bay Area bands (not Simpson as noted).

I saw Eddie last month at the CoachHouse in San Juan Capistrano. I think the years of drug abuse are finally catching up with Mr Money, while enthuasiam was high and the audience wanted nothing more than to see and hear him tear it up, he didn't. Something big was lacking in his music. A heck of a nice guy though.

I remember hearing this on the radio back when it originally aired. The Money at his peak is always a great thing. One small correction to the band listing. His drummer at the time (and I believe currently) is Glen Symmonds (not Lance Simmons as listed) formerly of the L.A. based punk/ska band "The Untouchables".
