Description

Alvin Lee's incredible solo in the Woodstock film was about to catapult this hard-working British band into 'overnight' success, but Ten Years After had two more hard-driving performances to give the Fillmore East. The February 26, 1970 gig was recorded live and has been called absolutely brilliant, emotional and classical. With Ric Lee on drums and Alvin Lee at his gritty, erotic and magical best, some critics consider this Fillmore appearance the band's top live performance and the rendition of Help Me Baby its best recorded version. TYA headlined the Fillmore East for the last time in June, 1970, when the following they attracted at venues like Bill Graham's Fillmores made them big enough to fill Madison Square Garden.

Much like theatrical playbills, programs have been used at concerts since the 1900s. With information on bands and their members, it gives the concertgoer a chance to get to know the musicians they have paid money to see. The Vault's exceptional collection of programs range over four decades from venues around the world.
