Photography Q & A

Description

This photo of Jimi is one of my favorite 'musician-in-motion' pictures. This particular still image conveys so much of what it's like to experience the ecstacy of a live performance, both for the musician himself, and for the audience. Poetry in motion, captured in a fraction of a second. I was onstage with the Jimi Hendrix Experience in February 1968, for the Band's first concert at Bill Graham's Fillmore West. It was impossible to take a bad photo of Jimi Hendrix. That night I made a huge number of fine pictures of a hugely memorable performance. - Baron Wolman

The 20x24 Matted & Signed version of this image is from a limited edition of 75.
