Jimi Hendrix liked Byrd's drawing on this poster so much that he later asked the artist to design a press kit cover for him. Byrd used a drop-bow compass to draw the little circles, and he labored to get Hendrix's hair "... Just right." Hendrix was at the height of his career in mid-1968, and he did two shows for the one-night-only concert. Sly & the Family Stone, not mentioned on the poster, was the second band. Just starting to get airplay, Sly was relatively unknown and was heckled by a crowd that couldn't have cared less who was opening up for Hendrix.
Our retro mug selections are big and bold and can't ever be called "sippy" cups. These 15 ouncers in bold colors with your favorite rock art have been produced in limited number and are only available at The Vault. Featuring brilliant high-resolution full color process designs, images are first printed on paper, then under a special process of heat and pressure, transferred to the mug and absorbed by the polymer coating. It is microwave safe, but for lasting beauty, we do not recommend dishwasher use.

Most historic series posters are of a size to fit in flats. Posters shipped in flats are surrounded by 2 chipboard inserts. Oversized pieces require tubes and we ship in tubes with a .187 wall – the thickest tube used for such shipping. All photographic prints are shipped in highest quality heavy-duty reinforced cardboard flats. If you have ordered more than one printed item, the items will be packaged together and separated by high quality interleave paper to prevent scratching.
