Poster Art Q & A

Description

BG205 was considered one of Singer's most outstanding efforts. Humble Pie featured a young Peter Frampton, and the concert was memorable for Graham's production crew because the promoter, abstemious by nature, was dosed by the Dead and ended up playing percussion on stage for three hours.

The 1st printing poster is identified by the presence of a horizontal black line measuring 1/8" in the center of the right hand margin. The poster is slate gray and has faded black lettering. It was printed before the concert and measures 14" x 22".

The 2nd printing is a blue/gray color and displays dark black lettering. It omits the horizontal line found in the right hand margin of the original printing. It measures 14" x 22" and was printed after the concert.

Wolfgang's Vault owns one of the world's largest collections of original concert posters, featuring hundreds of rock posters, political posters, sports posters, comedy posters and others that were previously unavailable to the general public. Virtually all of our concert posters are in mint condition, and many are signed by the headline performer or the graphic artist.
