Description

In a January 1968, shoot for Eye magazine, the Hearst Corporation's slick wannabe counterculture magazine, Baron Wolman took Grace Slick to a retail store called Design Research located in San Francisco's Ghirardelli Square. Grace was her usual irreverent self, posing in the most uncommon ways using the most uncommon accessories. Here she sports an embroidered vest over her trademark Girl Scout uniform. The Design Research decorators had filled a glass kitchen jar with dry round pasta, the perfect appurtenance for Grace to gaze through at Wolman's camera for this memorable portrait.

The 20x24 Matted & Signed version of this image is from a limited edition of 75.
